Welcome to nono café, a delightful haven nestled in the heart of Oaxaca de Juárez at Jesús Carranza 119, RUTA INDEPENDENCIA. This charming café is more than just a pit stop for quality coffee; it embodies the local culture and artistry that defines this vibrant city.

As you step inside, you'll be captivated by the café’s bright and airy ambiance, enhanced by large open doors that invite the enchanting streets of Oaxaca to mingle with your experience. The decor is beautifully curated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that encourages guests to relax and soak in the local ambiance. With a few cozy tables and a welcoming bar counter, nono café is perfect for intimate catch-ups or a focused work session, especially with its strong WiFi connectivity.

But what truly sets nono café apart is its dedication to exceptional specialty coffee. Many patrons rave about their remarkable espresso, sourced locally from Oaxacan farms, ensuring that each cup shares a piece of the region’s rich agricultural heritage. Customer 'Anji Trujillo' describes it perfectly: “You can tell there is love for coffee in this space.” Whether you indulge in a meticulously brewed pour-over or an artfully crafted cappuccino, your taste buds are in for a treat. The café prides itself on allowing customers to explore coffee’s depths, even offering the chance to smell the dry aroma of different beans before selecting your brew, as noted by 'Derek Xiao'.

Your taste adventure doesn’t stop there. Pair your coffee with an array of enticing desserts, including a delicious lemon pistachio cookie recommended by many visitors. As 'Julia Úbeda' noted, the desserts here complement the high-quality coffee perfectly, making this café a must-visit for both coffee enthusiasts and casual sippers alike.

While the café excels in coffee and service, there are slight nuances to consider. 'Veena Shahane' humorously points out a minor issue with the occasional insects, suggesting that a bit more attention to this aspect could elevate the already pleasant experience further. However, this does not overshadow the overwhelmingly positive feedback regarding the friendly and attentive staff, who go above and beyond to make each visit special.

If you're seeking a local gem that combines quality coffee with a relaxed atmosphere, nono café is undoubtedly worth a visit. Whether you're a devotee of the coffee bean or simply looking to enjoy a quiet moment while surrounded by the essence of Oaxaca, this café promises a memorable stop on your journey through this magical city.

Bright and light coffee spot, beautifully decorated. I love it has big open doors that connect you to the the magical streets of Oaxaca but it is still a quiet space. The coffee is excellent and the staff is super nice!

A casual, intimate, coffee shop with quality specialty coffee used in both their espresso based drinks and pour overs. They have several types of desserts, but no food menu. There are four small round tables that can accommodate two-three people and a small bar for 3-4 people. The service is excellent and strong WiFi is available. There is a lot of natural light and airflow. I loved the profile of the Marsellesa pour over: a complex palette of flavors were evenly balanced from beginning to end and full bodied. The grind was a bit fine, in my opinion, but it worked. The presentation with mineral water is always appreciated. The typica-bourbon Americano was full bodied and pleasant to drink. Both coffees had mild acid and were toasted medium. Before I left, the barista let me try a variety called Costa Rica that they used in a competition the day before. It was excellent as well, especially the clean finish. Thank you! The natural ginger and lime soda, made in house was so refreshing. It was on the tart side, but just enough and not too sweet; perfect! I would rate Nono as in my top three specialty coffee shops that I have visited thus far in Oaxaca; a strong 4.8 overall.

Lovely cafe with amazing espresso. You can tell there is love for coffee in this space. We were thrilled to have some Oaxaca sourced espresso, and we paired it with a delicious lemon pistachio cookie. Highly recommend this spot!

I was concerned when I read online that the specialty coffee culture in Oaxaca isn't the best. Given it's coffee growing status, that is probably a fair assessment. That being said, this is probably the best coffee I've had in Oaxaca. Would highly recommend

Went here twice in a week. Service is good. Coffee is fantastic. Food is good as well. If they could only somehow manage to put a mosquito net on the window towards the road and probably use an herbal insect spray every 30-45 minutes, would be a much more pleasant experience.

They care a lot about their coffee. When you ask for a pourover, they will let you smell the dry aroma of the ungrounded beans (which I certainly do not have the nose to differentiate much between the beans ;). The pourover was brewed well, a rarity for cafes. Art on the cappuccino was great. The recommended brownie, bread pudding, and sandwich (not pictured) were all delicious. The coffees come from Oaxaca or more distant but still Mexican regions. They care a lot about local single origin coffee, which is wonderful for me as a tourist looking for local coffee beans to taste! This cafe is a rare combination of good pourover + baked goods, if I’m back in the area, I would drop by again.

Great filtered coffee. Good for coffee lovers. Small but quaint. Great atmosphere. Laptop friendly (but tiny tables)

The best café in Oaxaca! With great and friendly service and such a delicious chai, this place really stood out. We were greeted instantly, and our order was taken right away. The baristas even brought us water to accompany our beverages, which is always a great touch. The latte art was adorable, and I appreciated the extra detail they put into it. We enjoyed every minute of our visit, except for the chairs, which were a bit uncomfortable. Despite being small, the café has a lot of charm and feels very cozy. This place truly made my trip to Oaxaca special and easily ranks among the best cafés I’ve visited.
